She did her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Durham University and acts as the BiobyDesign social media manager as well as contributing to website design and writing articles.

Max is a synthetic biology PhD (DPhil) student at the University of Oxford. Supervised by Prof Tudor Fulga and Prof Thomas Milne, Max is developing a method to use CRISPR genome engineering to screen for leukemia genes. Max holds a BA in Biological Natural Sciences and an MPhil in Biotechnology Enterprise, both from the University of Cambridge. When he's not in the lab, he loves to write about science, sail and scuba dive.
